Original audio, MP3, MP4 or ZIP: which should you choose?
Choose the format that fits your device and how much time you want to spend preparing a download.

Original audio for speed
For YouTube, the original M4A option avoids MP3 encoding. It keeps the available source audio and plays in many music apps. Choose MP3 when you need that file format for a particular player.
Video with audio
Higher-resolution YouTube and Reddit video may use separate sound and picture streams. The server joins available tracks before or during download. If a source has no sound, joining streams cannot add one.
Quality and file size
A 320 kbps MP3 encoding does not improve a lower-quality recording. Likewise, 4K is offered only when a source provides that resolution. Smaller video formats are useful on slow connections and phones with limited storage.
ZIP for a collection
A ZIP groups available playlist tracks or carousel files into one archive. It does not merge them into one video or audio file. If only some items succeed, the archive includes DOWNLOAD_ERRORS.txt; no successful items produces an error.
Troubleshooting an expired link
Download access lasts about two hours and belongs to the browser session that generated it. For an expired link or a source that changed, return to the original media URL and generate fresh download access.
